NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW made a splash at CES this week as part of the company’s showcase. During its livestream, NVIDIA announced a lot of updates about upcoming products (like the RTX 4070 Ti GPU) as well as its cloud gaming service. The big announcement for GeForce NOW was the arrival of a new Ultimate plan.

The Ultimate plan pushes performance up to an RTX 4080, and adds in features like support for up to 240fps, as well as support for ultrawide monitors. Better still, anyone already on the existing RTX 3080 plan gets bumped up to the Ultimate plan. This is because NVIDIA is charging the same amount for Ultimate as it did for the RTX 3080 plan.

In terms of value, this is a pretty good deal. For the same $19.99 a month, users get tons of upgrades. Including 40 series-specific features like DLSS 3. No matter how you slice it, GeForce NOW is being massively improved with this change alone. But, that’s the only new thing coming for GeForce NOW this week.

Following its big CES announcement, GeForce NOW brings in new games

The addition of a new and improved plan is definitely the highlight of the week for GeForce NOW. But let’s not forget about the main thing that keeps GeForce NOW interesting. The games. Every week NVIDIA adds new games to the service and as it’s Thursday, today is that day this week where new games are being added.

Now, there’s only five games joining the GeForce NOW roster for this week. But for the month of January in general, NVIDIA says it plans to add 24 games in total. That means there’s 19 more games coming over the course of the next few weeks. And that’s assuming NVIDIA doesn’t sneak in an extra title or two.

As for which games are available to stream from today, this includes Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition, Carrier Command 2, Project Hospital, Portal with RTX, and Severed Steel.
