The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is on the way, and a dummy unit of the device just showed us its design. Do note that this popped up in Korea, but considering it appeared in forums, we’re not sure how accurate it is.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 dummy unit details the phone’s boxy design
Based on everything we’ve heard of the phone, and parts of its design that surfaced, it could be quite accurate. The first thing you’ll notice, when you check out the images below, are the phone’s corners.
You’ll notice that they’re very sharp. They’re closer to the Galaxy S24 Ultra than the Galaxy Z Fold 5. A display camera hole is also visible on the cover display. It’s centered at the top, as expected.
The phone is shown in closed and open formats, but we don’t get to see its back side. The crease on the display is easily visible here, though keep in mind this is just a dummy unit. Samsung is expected to improve the crease situation, but only to a certain level.
Three Galaxy Z Fold 6 models were mentioned in rumors
There is a lot of confusion in regard to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 at the moment. Why? Well, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim were all mentioned in rumors. Truth be said, one rumor suggested that the ‘Ultra’ and ‘Slim’ models are the same phone.
Based on the latest information, only the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will launch in July. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra aka Slim is expected to arrive in January, alongside the Galaxy S25 series. That phone will likely carry the ‘Ultra’ name.
Samsung is tipped to host the second Unpacked event this year in Paris, France. During it, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will arrive, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The Galaxy Ring is also expected to launch, Samsung’s very first smart ring.
