Samsung is widely rolling out the Android 13 stable update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. The rollout began in the US last week for users who participated in the company’s Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta program. Those on Android 12 are also now getting the new Android version.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are currently receiving Android 13 in Samsung’s homeland South Korea, SamMobile reports. The new firmware version for the former in the country is F936NKSU1BVK5, while that for the latter is F721NKSU1BVK5. The latest foldable smartphones are also getting the November security patch with this release. But Android 13 is still the biggest attraction here. After all, it brings tons of new features and improvements to the devices.
For starters, Samsung has improved system animations to make the transition between menus smoother. The system UI and app icons have been refreshed too, and there are now more ways to customize your phone. The update also adds new camera and editing features. Stock Samsung apps and services such as Bixby Routines get new features and improvements too. The Korean firm has also improved privacy and security features on Galaxy devices.
On top of all this, the Android 13 update also brings improvements to foldable-exclusive features such as Flex Mode and taskbar (Fold only). Long story short, this release will substantially elevate your user experience on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Install the new update and start exploring.
Android 13 for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 should go global soon
Samsung is just getting started with its Android 13 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. This release in South Korea should mean an imminent global rollout. If you’re using one of Samsung’s latest foldable smartphones, you can look forward to receiving the new Android version. As usual, you will be notified by your phone once the update is available. You can tap the notification and follow the on-screen instructions to download the big Android update.
If you can’t wait for the notification, go to Settings > Software update and tap on Download and install to check for updates manually. This way, you can often trigger the update before the notification arrives. If you see an update, proceed to download it. But if no update is available, wait a couple of days and check again. Note that updates are released in batches and may not be available for everyone simultaneously.
