The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is coming in July or August, and we know a lot about the phone at this point. One of the most prominent tipsters just shared an image of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 next to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 4, though do note that this is not a leak per se.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 stands next to its predecessor to show off its large cover display
This is just a visual representation of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 next to its predecessor. This render is likely highly accurate, however. It’s not difficult to notice how larger that cover display is in comparison to the one on the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
The tipster also mentioned the details regarding that panel. He says that the display measures 3.4 inches, as reported earlier, but this time around he also shared the resolution and ppi. It has a resolution of 720 x 748, which comes down to 305 ppi.
You’ll notice that the phone has the so-called ‘folder’ display, as it curves on the bottom, and resembles a folder. It has a horizontal camera setup, unlike its predecessor. By the way, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 features a 1.9-inch cover display. So yes, the difference is huge.
Samsung upcoming clamshell foldable appeared in CAD-based renders recently
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 did surface in CAD-based renders quite recently, so feel free to check those out too. The phone will have flat sides, with chamfered edges. It will also include a display camera hole on the main panel, just like its predecessor.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is expected to fuel the phone, while LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage will hopefully be included. A 6.7-inch main display is expected, and that will likely be a fullHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. We’re not sure yet, though.
Samsung will announce the device in either July or August, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5. It was initially expected to do so in August, but recent rumors claim otherwise.
