Many details about the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro have been leaking recently. However, this won’t be the only rugged device the company will launch soon. A rumored Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro has received its corresponding FCC certification. This new listing indicates an imminent launch.

Although the names of the lineups are different, both—”XCover” and “Active”—have the same philosophy. The difference is that Samsung labels its rugged tablets as “Active.” However, in both cases, they are devices designed to withstand rough use and harsh conditions. Galaxy Tab Active devices are quite useful for business and industrial environments. They could also be an ideal tablet to leave in the “dangerous” hands of your children.

Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro’s FCC certification suggests imminent launch

As spotted by Xpertpick, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro has been listed in the US FCC (Federal Communications Commission) database. Products that receive this certification are usually just a few weeks apart. Therefore, Samsung could launch it very soon alongside the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro rugged phone.

The listing confirms that the tablet has the model number SM-X356B and has 5G support. Another Samsung device with the same model number previously received certification from the UAE’s TDRA. According to reports, the company will also sell a Wi-Fi-only variant with the model number SM-X350B.

The FCC’s listing reveals that the 5G-enabled version will support bands n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n26, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n71, n77, and n78. It will also have 128 GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot and a removable battery will likely be available. A previous certification from the Korean Testing Certification Institute confirmed that the tablet will support 15W wired charging. The power adapter will have the model number EP-T150.

GeekBench also tested the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, confirming some key specs. It will be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip along with 6GB of RAM in the base model. The tablet will be compatible with the South Korean giant’s S Pen accessory. This will make it ideal for both productivity and promoting creativity in children through drawing apps. Lastly, it will run Android 15 out of the box, likely with support for Galaxy AI features.
