Samsung is currently working on its next-gen Galaxy S series flagship, which will see the light of the day in Q1 2025. Just like last year, the company will launch three new devices next year – the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The folks over at GalaxyClub have revealed the Galaxy S25+ model’s battery capacity.

Some of the features of the Galaxy S25 series have already leaked earlier. Notably, the battery capacities of the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra also surfaced online earlier.

A new leak has revealed the battery capacity of the Galaxy S25+ model

According to the source, the Galaxy S25+ will have the same capacity as its predecessor. The phone’s rated capacity is going to be 4,755mAh, just like the S24+ model. So, Samsung is going to tout it as a 4,900mAh battery at the launch. The company did the same last year with the Galaxy S24+ (Review).

It’s worth mentioning that the vanilla Galaxy S25 and the higher-end Galaxy S25 Ultra’s battery capacity are also said to stay the same. The S25 will have the same 4,000mAh power cell as the S24. As for the S25 Ultra, it will continue to feature a larger 5,000mAh capacity.

Samsung could offer “Battery AI” to boost the battery life of the S25 series

Some reports suggest that the Galaxy S25 series could get a new “Battery AI” functionality. It will be an artificial intelligence-powered feature that will extend the battery longevity by up to 10%, suggest reports. So, even with the same typical capacities, the Galaxy S25 series could offer a major boost in battery life.

In addition, the power-efficient 3nm chip – Exynos 2500 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 – on the new phones will make them last even longer. Only time will tell, so we can just wait and watch. Since the launch is more than four months away, we will have more information from the upcoming leaks.
