The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra weight has just been revealed by a trusted source. The information comes from Ice Universe, a well-known tipster, who keeps on adding Galaxy S24 series puzzles to the table.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra weight gets revealed by a trusted source
The Galaxy S24 Ultra will weigh 233 grams, which will make it only 1 gram lighter than its predecessor. Needless to say, that difference is negligible. So, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will, for intents and purposes, retain the same weight as the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
So, what’s the surprising part? Well, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will come with a titanium frame. Titanium is lighter than stainless steel, so it’s normal to expect more of a difference between the two devices. That won’t happen, however, at least based on this info.
Needless to say, 233 grams means that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be a hefty device. That’s the weight of some foldable smartphones these days. The OPPO Find N2 weighs 233 grams, for example, while the HONOR Magic V2 is even a couple of grams lighter (one of its variants).
If you’re used to the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s weight, you’ll be right at home here
If you were fine with the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s weight, then this should not concern you. If you wanted a lighter phone, well, you won’t get that here. You’ll have to resort to either the Galaxy S24 or S24+, when it comes to Samsung’s upcoming device.
Both of those devices will be considerably lighter than the ‘Ultra’ model, that’s for sure. The Galaxy S23 weighs only 168 grams, while the Galaxy S23+ weighs 196 grams. Their successors will be in the same ballpark, almost certainly. Both are expected to offer aluminum-based frames, just like the Galaxy S23 models.
Having said that, some of the Galaxy S24 Ultra specifications got tipped yesterday, in case you’re interested in that. The entire Galaxy S24 series will become official in the first quarter of next year.
