Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S24 phones continue to outsell the Galaxy S23 series. The company did that during its Q2 2024 earnings call. That is a good sign for the company, of course.
The Galaxy S24 phones are continuing to outsell the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung confirms
Samsung said that the Galaxy S24 series has achieved “double-digit year-on-year growth in both shipments and revenue” over Galaxy S23 series sales. The sales for the Galaxy S24 phones have been higher in both Q1 and Q2 compared to last year’s models.
It remains to be seen what will happen in Q3 and Q4, of course. This is an excellent sign for the company, though. The Galaxy S25 series is expected to arrive in early 2025, likely in January. Basically at the same time as the Galaxy S24 series did this year.
Samsung, unfortunately, did not share any specific numbers for the Galaxy S24 sales. Based on a report from Hana Financial Securities, however, Samsung sold 31.1 million Galaxy S23 units in a year since launch.
Samsung could end up crossing the 35 million unit sales mark for the Galaxy S24 series
With that in mind, considering that the Galaxy S24 sales eclipsed the Galaxy S23 sales in two quarters already, Samsung could end up reaching the 35 million units sold mark, which is quite a feat.
Why are the Galaxy S24 devices more appealing to people? Well, it’s anyone’s guess, but the software support and Galaxy AI could have something to do with it. Galaxy AI has been heavily marketed by Samsung, and there’s a lot to like when it comes to it.
On the flip side, the Galaxy S24 series smartphones are the first devices from the company for which Samsung promised 7 years of software updates. That has to look good in the eyes of consumers.
There’s a lot more to like when it comes to these phones, though, of course.
