Samsung’s upcoming ‘FE’ phone will offer truly unimpressive charging. The Galaxy S24 FE will offer the same charging speed as its 4-year-old predecessor. In other words, it will offer the same charging speed as the very first ‘FE’ smartphone, the Galaxy S20 FE.
The Galaxy S24 FE will offer truly unimpressive charging speed
The device received the TUV certification which confirmed that 25W wired charging will be supported. We were hoping that Samsung will make a jump to 45W charging, but that won’t happen.
The phone also got certified by the FCC recently. That certification confirmed that the phone will support 9W reverse wireless charging, in case you’re wondering.
Samsung’s Galaxy S24 FE handset will be very similar to the Galaxy S23 FE in terms of the design. The phone will be fueled by the Exynos 2400 SoC, based on everything we’ve seen thus far.
The bad news is, however, that it won’t be fueled by a regular Exynos 2400 processor. Samsung will, for whatever reason, use a downclocked version of that processing. We’re not sure why that is, but cooling could be one of the reasons.
Chances are that the phone will become official in early October
The Galaxy S23 FE was announced on October 4 last year. If the company intends to stick to its release cycle, the Galaxy S24 FE could arrive in early October. Samsung did not announce anything thus far, though, which is not surprising, it’s still early September.
Some people expected to see the Galaxy S23 FE announced at IFA in Berlin. That’s highly unlikely, though. Chances are that Samsung will wait for October. Samsung will be a part of IFA, but chances are we won’t see any smartphone announcements in Berlin… from that company.
The Galaxy S24 FE is also expected to include a 120Hz OLED display, offer water and dust resistance, and include at the very least 8GB of RAM, as suggested by Geekbench.
