The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G has leaked on multiple occasions. A recent leak offered up some exciting information on the camera specs of the device. We’re now getting some additional hardware details through a listing on Geekbench, which is usually the best source for hardware information.
The Geekbench listing accessed by MySmartPrice reveals the Galaxy A73 5G with the model number SM-A736B. It scored 778 points in the single-core test and 2913 in the multi-core test, which is relatively decent for a mid-range offering. In the hardware department, the Galaxy A73 5G is sporting the octa-core Snapdragon 778G chipset with a peak clock speed of 2.4 GHz. This is accompanied by the Adreno 642L GPU.
We also learn that the phone will feature at least 8GB of RAM, though it’s likely that Samsung will offer the Galaxy A73 5G in a 6GB variant as well. The rest of the features are hardly surprising, including Android 12. While the version of One UI isn’t specified, it’s likely to run One UI 4.1 out of the box.
The Galaxy A73 5G will feature a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging
Previous leaks and rumors have hinted at a 5,000mAh battery, possibly with 25W fast charging. So the Galaxy A73 5G could be a decent successor for last year’s Galaxy A72.
Based on current information, the Galaxy A73 5G will offer a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, backed by a 120Hz refresh rate. The upgraded quad-camera setup is among its key highlights, complemented by the 108-megapixel primary camera. Customers will also find a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 2-megapixel macro lens on the rear panel.
Thanks to the plethora of renders published by reputed sources, we already have a good sense of the smartphone’s design. There’s no precise release date available for the Galaxy A73 5G, though. But it’s likely to launch soon across several markets, including Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Samsung will also unveil the budget-ranged Galaxy A23, A33, and A53 this year to complement the Galaxy A73 5G.
