After months of leaks and rumors, we may finally have a launch date for Samsung‘s 2023 premium mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G. Reputed tipster Steve H. McFly, aka OnLeaks, has heard from a “quite reliable source” that the duo will debut on March 15. He isn’t 100 percent sure about the date, but it aligns with the company’s usual launch cycle. Meanwhile, the phones have appeared in fresh renders that show the design from all angles.

The Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G have already leaked in renders several times. Android Headlines gave you an exclusive early look at the latter in December last year. Last week, the German publication WinFuture gave us a more detailed look at the duo. The same source has now shared fresh renders of both models in four colors each, showing us the devices from various angles. Of course, there’s not much mystery left about the new premium mid-range offering from Samsung. But you can get a better look at them in the attached galleries below.

For a quick refresh, Samsung is keeping the design consistent across all of its Galaxy smartphones this year. The Galaxy A14 5G budget handset looks the same from the back as the Galaxy S23 Ultra flagship. At least in terms of overall rear design, without going into small details. The front design is a little different because cheaper models have thicker display bezels and also lack a punch-hole camera. That’s precisely the story with the Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G. They share the rear design with the rest of the 2023 Galaxy lineup but differ on the front.

As you can see above, the Galaxy A54 5G sports a punch-hole display. The Galaxy A34 5G, on the other hand, features a U-shaped display notch (see below). The former is also a little more compact than the latter, but only a little. Samsung will reportedly equip the Galaxy A54 5G with a 6.4-inch display and the Galaxy A34 5G with a 6.6-inch display. Both get Super AMOLED panels with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both pack a 5,000mAh battery, though. They support 25W fast charging and boast NFC, IP67 certification, and an under-display fingerprint scanner

Elsewhere, the Galaxy A54 5G gets a more powerful Exynos 1380 processor and better cameras too — a 50MP primary shooter, 12MP ultrawide lens, 5MP macro camera, and 32MP selfie shooter. The Galaxy A34 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 chipset and features a 48MP primary rear camera, 8MP ultrawide lens, 5MP macro camera, and 13MP selfie shooter. Both phones should boast OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and support 4K video recording. Stay tuned for official confirmation of their launch date.
