Alongside the much-anticipated Galaxy S22 series flagships, Samsung also has a few mid-range smartphones in the works. Namely, the company has the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 in the pipeline for a March unveiling. Both of these devices have been making rounds of the rumor mill for several weeks now, revealing a good deal about their specs and design. The latest information we have is regarding their memory configurations and colorways.
According to @TechInsiderBlog on Twitter, Samsung will offer the Galaxy A53 5G in the following two configurations: 6GB+128GB and 6GB+256GB. No, it’s not a typo. The phone will not arrive in an 8GB RAM variant, the source confirms. A benchmark listing on Geekbench last month also showed 6GB of RAM. So the claim is probably accurate.
Samsung did launch the Galaxy A52 as well as the Galaxy A52 5G with 8GB RAM. So it’s a bit surprising the company isn’t following up the same way for this year’s model. Perhaps the 8GB RAM variants of the 2021 models didn’t sell in big numbers, triggering this change. Only Samsung knows this best.
Nonetheless, the new report also claims that both Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G will be available in blue, black, white, and orange color options. There’s no info regarding the memory configuration of the latter though. It will presumable come with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A03, a phone that Samsung announced back in November 2021, will reportedly hit the European markets soon. It will be available in red, black, and blue colors with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device also comes in 3GB+32GB and 4GB+128GB memory configurations in some other regions.
Samsung will follow the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33 with more mid-range models
As said before, Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33 in March, probably once the hype around its Galaxy S22 series flagships starts to die down. But if you know the company, you also likely know that it launches a plethora of smartphones every year at various price points. It plans to follow these two mid-rangers with the Galaxy A23 in April and Galaxy A73 in May. You can also expect the company to launch similarly-named models in its Galaxy M series as well in the coming months.
Meanwhile, until the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33 aren’t official, they will likely continue to appear in leaks as we still have a lot left to know about them. We will keep you updated with all the latest information we have about the two upcoming Samsung mid-range smartphones.
