Huawei has just announced some new smartwatches, including the Huawei Watch 5. The announcement took place in Berlin, and in addition to the Huawei Watch 5, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 series arrived, along with the Huawei FreeBuds 6. On top of that, Huawei also took the opportunity to present the MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025 tablet. Let’s focus on the watches first.

Huawei’s new smartwatches are here, including the Huawei Watch 5

The Huawei Watch 5 is a continuation of Huawei’s main line of smartwatches. It brings multi-sensing X-TAP technology this time around, which is powered by Huawei’s Distributed Sensor Module.

This new technology enables users to perform health monitoring effortlessly via fingerprint measurements. That will ensure more accurate, faster, and comprehensive health insights, say the company.

The Huawei Watch 5 is still a circular smartwatch, and it does resemble its predecessor. It once against comes in 42mm and 46mm variants. Huawei uses aerospace-grade titanium for the shell of the Huawei Watch 5, in combination with 904L stainless steel.

The new colors include Purple and Sand Gold. This watch also incorporates a spherical sapphire glass, which is second only to diamond in hardness, Huawei says.

This smartwatch also includes enhanced gesture control, so it now supports ‘Double Slide’ and ‘Double Tap’ motions. That way you get more intuitive interaction options.

The Huawei Watch 5 pricing starts at £399.99 in the UK, but it’s coming to other countries in Europe.

The Huawei Watch Fit 4 series has also been announced, including the ‘Pro’ model

The Huawei Watch Fit 4 series includes two models, the vanilla one and the ‘Pro’ one. Huawei brings a sapphire glass to this series as well, and the company also used an aviation-grade aluminum body with ta itanium alloy bezel here.

The Huawei Fit 4 Pro measures only 9.3mm in thickness, which makes it very thin. These watches also introduce water sports tracking and a new Air Pressure Sensor. That way tracking of outdoors ports data has been boosted.

The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro also supports advanced sports modes such as professional trail running, diving to a depth of up to 40 meters, and pro-level golfing.

These watches are square watches, unlike the Huawei Watch 5. There is a rotating crown included on the right side, along with a customizable physical key.

The Huawei Watch Fit 4 series pricing starts at £149.99 for the vanilla model and £249.99 for the ‘Pro’ model. The prices will differ in other European countries.

Huawei introduced open-fit earbuds, the FreeBuds 6

The Huawei FreeBuds 6 have also been announced by the company. These are open-fit earbuds, and they bring an improved audio experience compared to their predecessors. They’re equipped with a dual-driver unit, which should deliver punchy bass, nice trebles, and high-resolution music, says Huawei.

Huawei opted for the ergonomic ‘droplet’ design here, similar to what it offered with the FreeBuds 5. New features like Stable and Clear Calls for “fuss-free communication” have been added too.

The Huawei FreeBuds 5 are priced at  £139.99 in the UK. The pricing will differ in other countries across Europe.

The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025 is a tablet with a PaperMatte Display

The last product we’ll talk about is the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025. This is a 12.2-inch tablet that has an innovative Tandem OLED PaperMatte Display. It enhances anti-glare and anti-reflection capabilities.

If you pair this tablet with the Huawei Glide Keyboard, you can get a laptop-ish experience. That keyboard also doubles as a case for the tablet basically. There is also a charging compartment that can store the stylus.

We still don’t know the price tag for the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025.
