Forget the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 if you’re looking for a clamshell foldable smartphone. If you’re looking for an alternative, Motorola might have something for you in the form of the Razr 60 series. Now, thanks to a new render shared by Evan Blass (protected account), the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra in Rio Red has been revealed.
Razr 60 Ultra in red
Thanks to the leak, we now know that the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will come in a Rio Red finish. It’s not a bright red, but more of a dark red. Also, based on what we’ve seen in previously leaked renders, Motorola is opting to keep the same faux leather design for the back of the phone.
This red finish means that we’ve seen two of the color options for the Razr 60 Ultra. The first being a dark green finish. Based on past Motorola launches, it’s safe to assume that there should be two more colors that have yet to be revealed. In addition to the color, the renders also reveal the phone from pretty much every angle imaginable.
However, if you’ve seen the Razr 50 Ultra, then chances are this phone won’t look too different to you.
Keeping it the same
Unfortunately, apart from the new coat of paint and changes under the hood, don’t expect Motorola to make any major design changes. The only main design change we can see is the glossy rails along the side of the phone. This should help the phone look a bit more shiny and stand out a bit. However, it won’t make a difference if you plan to keep it in a case.
Other than that, according to our sources, the Razr 60 Ultra will maintain the same 4-inch cover display and most likely use the same 6.9-inch inner foldable display. As for its chipset of choice, Motorola could opt to equip the Ultra model with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, it might be the 7-core version of the chipset that was designed with foldability in mind.
This could be due to cost and also to help make the chipset less powerful, which will, in turn, help the phone run cooler. We’ve also heard that the phone could come with 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 4,000mAh battery. Overall, it’s a decent foldable. It could also be a worthy competitor to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7.
