ASUS has already announced that the ROG Phone 9 series will launch on November 19. One of the models of the next-gen gaming smartphone was recently spotted on Geekbench ML revealing some of its key specs. Now, a fresh leak has showcased the front design and Home Screen interface of the ASUS ROG Phone 9.
ASUS ROG Phone 9 spotted on the WPC website revealing the front design and Home Screen
Today, folks over at 91Mobiles Indonesia spotted a listing on the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) website that gives a good look at the front design of the upcoming gaming smartphone. The render image attached in the listing also flaunts the phone’s home screen interface.
By the looks of it, the ASUS ROG Phone 9 appears to borrow the design of its predecessor. You wouldn’t find any significant change if you closely look at the leaked rendered image attached below. However, we expect ASUS to make all the important upgrades on the inside.
The device listed on the certification site has a code number AI2501. The WPC listing also tells us that the device received certification two days back, on November 11, 2024. Apart from these, there are not many details about the device on the certification website.
The leaked price of the upcoming gaming smartphone
Another leak that emerged from a Danish retail website has allegedly revealed the price of the upcoming smartphone. The website listing reveals that a product named “ASUS ROG Phone 9” has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Let’s not forget that previous leaks have hinted that at least one model (if not both) will be also available in a 24GB RAM variant.
Besides, the model listed on the website carries a Storm White color variant, product code “Varenr. 21698327,” and model number “AI2501-12G512G-WH.” The device is listed with a price tag of 9,838 Danish Krone, or 22.1 million Indonesian Rupiah (Rp). If we convert the same to USD, it comes to around $1400. It’s worth noting that this price is possibly for the base model, the “Pro” might be more expensive.
Previously, a Weibo tipster claimed that the upcoming gaming smartphone would come with a 185Hz refresh rate. However, we expect ASUS to launch the “Pro” model with the said refresh rate. On top of that, we already know that the ASUS ROG Phone 9 series will pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC for performance needs. Talking of screen durability, the next-gen gaming device will come with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
