The very first Vivo X100 Ultra image has appeared, and it comes directly from the company. In addition to that, the company’s exec also confirmed when will the device launch. Needless to say, it’ll become Vivo’s new flagship.
The very first image of the Vivo X100 Ultra has been shared by the company
Let’s start with the image itself. If you take a look at the image provided below, you’ll see what was shared. This is clearly a part of the Vivo X100 Ultra’s camera island. You can clearly see the periscope telephoto camera here.
In addition to that, two other cameras are barely visible, while the fourth one seems to be included too. ZEISS branding is also visible here, well, ZEISS T* branding, to be more accurate. T* coating is actually a coating for the lenses that helps greatly with glare.
It will launch next month
All of this was shared by Jia Jingdong, Vivo’s General Manager and Brand of Product Strategy. He also said that the phone will launch at some point next month, in May. He was careful not to name it the Vivo X100 Ultra, but he did mention it’s a phone from the ‘X series’ of devices. The Vivo X100 Ultra is the only one we’re expecting at this point in time, so… there you go.
This basically came as part of the ‘BlueImage’ unveiling. That is Vivo’s new branding for its camera technology. That will include everything ranging from the company’s image chips, to camera software features.
Furthermore, Vivo also announced that it will keep collaborating with ZEISS, and work even closer with the company. ZEISS will help Vivo develop its own lenses for smartphones. Well, the two companies will co-develop them.
The Vivo X100 Ultra will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC
The Vivo X100 Ultra will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The phone is expected to include Sony’s LYT-900 camera sensor as its main camera. That’s a 1-inch type 50-megapixel camera.
In addition to that, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera is expected too. An ultrawide unit will also be included, and possibly even a fourth camera (telephoto/periscope telephoto).
