OPPO is planning to announce a foldable smartphone this month, allegedly. Well, that handset just got benchmarked, while some of its camera info surfaced as well, reports MySmartPrice.
This device has been listed with a PEUM00 model number, and it was spotted at MIIT certification as well. That Geekbench listing confirms that the device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 888 or 888+.
First OPPO foldable smartphone gets benchmarked, and camera info leaks
In addition to that, it will pack in 12GB of RAM, and ship with Android 11 out of the box. The company’s ColorOS skin will be included on top of Android 11.
The device managed to hit 925 points in the single-core test, while it scored 3,364 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench. Such results are on par with other devices that sport the Snapdragon 888(+) SoC.
Now, what’s even more interesting is that this handset got listed on the Camera FV-5 website. Based on that information, the device will feature a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. OIS will be supported, and so will EIS. That sensor will likely capture 12-megapixel images.
A 32-megapixel camera may be included on the front side of the phone, with an f/2.4 aperture, and EIS. That camera is also said to use pixel binning, so it may offer 8-megapixel images as a result.
Take this information with a grain of salt, though, we don’t often see such leaks from the Camera FV-5 website. Now, previous leaks suggested that the phone will feature three displays.
It is said to feature three displays
Its main display is said to measure 8 inches, that’s the foldable panel. It will also offer a 120Hz refresh rate. Its secondary display will be quite large as well, but not to that extent, and it will be curved. The third display will likely be a ticker-type of display, maybe something similar to what Microsoft implemented on the Surface Duo 2.
This handset will likely launch on December 14, as that’s when OPPO INNO Day 2021 starts. It will be held on December 14 and 15. OPPO kind of confirmed that a foldable device is coming, even though it removed that post quickly.
