OnePlus just threw a double confirmation our way, and on April 1, no less. As per usual, we have to be careful when it comes to any news on April 1, but this one seems completely legit following all the rumors.
The OnePlus 13T will be the name of the company’s upcoming compact flagship, it’s coming in April
The company has confirmed the OnePlus 13T name for is upcoming compact flagship. OnePlus also shared the retail box of the device, which you can see below, and its launch month too. The OnePlus 13T will launch at some point this month, in April. The exact day was not mentioned.
OnePlus did use a funny video to reveal all this, but there’s really nothing funny about the revelation itself. The OnePlus 13T has long been rumored as the company’s compact flagship. We’ve seen quite a few rumors thus far, so… there’s really no reason to doubt any of this. It doesn’t seem like a joke in any way, shape or form.
It’s expected to include a 6.3-inch display & Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC
Now, the phone was rumored to be called the OnePlus 13 Mini or OnePlus 13T, and it seems like OnePlus opted for the second option. The device is tipped to include a 6.3-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate (1-120Hz).
That panel will be flat, but the glass on top of it will be curved on all four sides. The Snapdragon 8 Elite is tipped to fuel this phone, while the device is also rumored to include a 6.200mAh battery.
80W wired charging was also mentioned, though we also expect to see 50W wireless charging. Two cameras are tipped to be included on the back, a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto unit (2x optical zoom).
A customizable key will be added instead of the alert slider, by the way. This device is expected to make it to global markets, in case you were wondering.
