Google’s Pixel Watch 2 is easily one of the best smartwatches available especially if you’re a Pixel phone user, and Amazon is discounting this watch down to $270 in this Prime Day deal.
There are a few things to note here right off the bat. This deal is for the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth version of the watch. However, the LTE model is also on sale for Prime Day for $300 instead of $400. So either way, you can snag this smartwatch for an excellent price. And it looks like all of the colors are available as well no matter which model you go with. This includes the Bay color of both the LTE and Wi-Fi models.
Google’s Pixel Watch 2 is running on Wear OS 4 but it should end up getting the update to Wear OS 5 in due time. It’s also sporting Google’s all-new heart rate sensor and that makes the heart rate tracking more accurate than the previous model. Battery life is also decent at up to 24 hours or so. Although in my personal experience, it was lasting a bit longer than that simply because I don’t wear it all day. I tend to wear my smartwatches for a little less than half the day and that helps extend the time out before the next charge.
There’s also a Fall Detection feature that can notify first responders if you’ve had a hard fall. Say you’re riding a bike and you fall off for example. There are also emergency and safety check features for added security and peace of mind. My favorite thing to use on this watch though was the Google Maps walking directions. Because it was nice to have navigation while walking around larger city areas without having to pull my phone out of my pocket.
