With tickets going on sale on April 6th, a new Multiverse of Madness trailer has brought a host of new footage.
Marvel Studios released some new footage from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as they announced tickets go on sale on Wednesday. A new trailer gave another look at some footage we have already seen, but as you would expect they have also teased some additional footage for fans to paw over as they await the movie arriving in theaters next month. This includes more footage of Wanda, Wong, the mystery figure who many have surmised to be Superior Iron Man, and a brand new creature that seems to be fighting on the same side as the good guys.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will finally premiere on May 6, 2022, following up on the phenomenal success of Spider-Man: No Way Home with an even deeper dive into the multiverse, seemingly at great expense to Doctor Strange and his friends. Being directed by Sam Raimi, fans are expecting a darker turn for the MCU and have been promised the first real horror film of the franchise as Strange finds out just how dangerous the multiverse can be.
The newest 30-second spot for the movie starts with Strange attempting to gain Wanda’s help with the multiverse, trying to coax her by saying he “needs an Avenger” and that helping out might “get your name back on a lunchbox.” The footage then quickly cuts through scenes of Wanda hovering in the air appearing to cast a spell, someone being catapulted through a multiverse portal, new Mordo shots and a longer shot of the character many believe is Superior Iron Man. This is then followed by the appearance of a new MCU monster, which at first seems to be intending on attacking Wong, but then is seen standing with Wong and Wanda as they prepare to fight another unseen foe. You can check out the new trailer below.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Will Not Be As It Seems In The Trailer
While there seems to be a whole load of new footage being revealed in new trailers and TV spots for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we need to remember that this is a Marvel movie and therefore what is in the trailer will not be quite as it seems. Whether it is something as subtle as a different angle or line of dialogue, to a complete switch up of additional characters, everything will not be how it seems.
With just a month to go until the debut of the film, Marvel Studios is going to start ramping up the publicity as they attempt to push the movie to be another billion-dollar earner at the box office. While Spider-Man: No Way Home became the third highest-grossing film of all time thanks in part to the return of so many old characters, the Doctor Strange sequel has been teasing some pretty big returns and cameos of its own, from Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, to Tom Cruise as a variant of Iron Man and many more. Although it is unlikely that the movie will have quite the same level of success as Tom Holland’s latest Spider-Man outing, there is every chance that it will find a place as the biggest movie of the year so far.
