The OnePlus 12 is the company’s upcoming flagship, and its detailed camera specifications have just surfaced. This smartphone is expected to launch globally in the first quarter of next year, by the way.

The OnePlus 12 camera specifications have surfaced early

In any case, the specs have been shared by Digital Chat Station, one of the most prominent tipsters out there. He detailed all three rear-facing cameras on the back of the phone, as apparently three of them will be included once again.

The main camera will be a 50-megapixel unit with OIS. OnePlus will use Sony’s IMX966 sensor, along with a 23mm lens. This is a 1/1.4-inch sensor, and we’re looking at an f/1.7 aperture lens here.

That camera will be backed by a 48-megapixel ultrawide unit (f/2.2 aperture, 14mm lens, 1/2-inch sensor). A 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (OV64B sensor, OIS, f/2.5 aperture, 70mm lens, 1/2-inch sensor) will also be included.

Larger main camera sensor will be included, and an improved telephoto unit

So, it seems like the phone will bring a larger main camera sensor. So we’re hoping for even more detailed images, and better low-light shots too, even though the OnePlus 11 did a good job on both fronts.

The ultrawide camera will also be different, but we don’t see that much of an improvement based on specs alone, we’ll have to wait and see. The periscope telephoto camera, however, will likely get 3x optical zoom (if not more). This camera seems to be similar to the one in the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+, so a boost in optical zoom is expected. The OnePlus 11 offered 2x optical zoom.

In regards to the phone’s other specs, well, some info did surface a while back. The OnePlus 12 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It will also include a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The phone is rumored to include up to 24GB of RAM, though it’ll likely cap out at 16GB in global markets. A larger battery was also mentioned, along with 100W wired, and 50W wireless charging.
