The iPhone SE 4 has been in the rumor mill for a long time now, and its detailed specs have just surfaced online. They come from Nguyen Phi Hung, so not one of our usual sources. Take what we’ll say here with a grain of salt.

Detailed iPhone SE 4 specifications have surfaced online

The phone will allegedly include a 6.1-inch LTPS OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Considering that the phone will be based on the iPhone 14, allegedly, that makes all the sense in the world. That display will also be flat, by the way.

The device will allegedly include 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and either 128GB or 512GB of NVMe flash memory. He’s still unsure about the battery, but some sources did mention a 3,279mAh pack. 20W wired charging is expected, along with 12W wireless charging (MagSafe and possibly Qi2).

Apple’s A16 Bionic SoC is tipped to fuel the device

The Apple A16 Bionic is said to fuel the phone, while the Snapdragon X70 model will be in use. The Apple U1 UWB chip was also mentioned, by the way. Bluetooth 5.3 will be supported, as will Wi-Fi 6. A Type-C USB port will sit at the bottom, and offer 2.0 speeds, just like the vanilla iPhone 15.

What about the cameras? Well, I should say a camera. The source mentions only one camera, the Sony IMX503 sensor. That is the same camera that the company used way back in the iPhone 12. It’s a 12-megapixel unit, and it will feature an f/1.8 aperture lens, it seems. The phone will not offer night mode support, allegedly.

Face ID will be on offer, while the back side will resemble the iPhone XR

Apple will use 7000 series aluminum for the frame of the phone. Glass will be on the back, and the front protection will be taken from the iPhone 13. Face ID will be on offer, of course. The back side will look similar to the iPhone XR.

The iPhone SE 4 is tipped to measure 148.5 x 71.2 x 7.8mm and weighs 166 grams. We’re still not sure if it will launch this year, however. Apple could end up offering it next year, it remains to be seen.
