Samsung is all set to launch a 5G variant of the Galaxy A06 budget smartphone. It originally launched the Galaxy A06 4G model in August last year. While Samsung hasn’t yet officially confirmed the existence of the Galaxy A06 5G, its complete specifications have leaked online. It looks like the Galaxy A06 5G will have a different processor under the helm, while the rest of its features will be similar to the 4G model.

As per the reliable gadget tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the Galaxy A06 5G will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. A MediaTek Helio G85 SoC backs its 4G network-enabled variant. Just like the 4G edition, the 5G model will also offer a 6.7-inch LCD display bearing HD+ resolution and a screen refresh rate of 90Hz. It will be available in multiple RAM and storage configurations, including 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, and 6GB+128GB.

Furthermore, the source has revealed that the Galaxy A06 5G will feature a 50MP autofocus primary camera at the rear. The main sensor will be accompanied by a 2MP secondary depth sensor, just like the 4G model. For selfies and video calling, the phone will have an 8MP camera on the front. It will boot Android 15 out of the box with the One UI 7.0 version on top. It will also come with the Samsung Knox Vault feature and will get four OS and four years of security updates.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy A06 5G will offer Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port, apart from the support for 5G networks. For security, the device will offer a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The tipster also suggests that the handset will also offer a mono speaker with support for Dolby Atmos audio and IP54 ingress protection against dust and water. A 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support will keep the whole package alive.
Lastly, the source has tipped that the Galaxy A06 5G will be available in three color variants. These include Blue Black, Light Gray, and Light Green. As of now, there’s no word regarding the pricing and launch date of the budget 5G smartphone. As for the Galaxy A06 4G, it is available in select regions at the starting price of around $100.
