Alongside the newly released footage, you can also check out the official synopsis:

“Lost on the dreary Oregon coast, Fran (Daisy Ridley) finds solace in her cubicle, listening to the constant hum of officemates and occasionally daydreaming to pass the time. She is ghosting through life, unable to pop her bubble of isolation, when a friendly new coworker, Robert (Dave Merheje), persistently tries to connect with her. Though it goes against every fiber of her being, she may have to give this guy a chance. Director Rachel Lambert and team craft beautiful cinema for this delicately told story of love for the socially awkward and emotionally challenged.”

Joining Ridley (who also serves as a producer) in Sometimes I Think About Dying will be Dave Merheje (Ramy), Parvesh Cheena (Shining Vale), Marcia DeBonis (Heels), Meg Stalter (Hacks), Brittany O’Grady (The White Lotus), Bree Elrod (A Friend to the Family), Lauren Beveridge (Mack & Rita), Ayanna Berkshire (Twilight), Sean Tarjyoto (Pig), Jeb Berrier (Somebody I Used to Know), Rich Hinz (One Bird at a Time) and June Eisler (Grimm).

While Daisy Ridley puts aside the dealings of the Jedi in Sometimes I Think About Dying, she could soon play Rey once again. It’s been more than four years since the English actress last wielded a lightsaber in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and her time in the Star Wars universe was complicated. While many fans celebrated her character and enjoyed the most recent trilogy of films in the franchise, many others criticized not only the story, but particularly the actress, who, on several occasions, had to distance herself from social media due to the attacks she received.

Fortunately, bad experiences won’t stop her from returning to live a new adventure in a galaxy far, far away. At the most recent Star Wars celebration, it was confirmed that Rey will return in one of Lucasfilm’s next film projects, a movie directed by Academy Award-winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. In this new film, Rey will be in charge of leading a new Jedi Order, in order to protect the Republic from any threat that may appear and the dark forces that threaten to destroy it.

Since the last installment of the trilogy starring Ridley, the actress has participated in several projects but mostly keeping a low profile. This year, she was part of the cast of the animated film The Inventor, and led the thriller The Marsh King’s Daughter. She currently has three films in development; Young Woman and the Sea, Magpie, and Cleaner.
