The OnePlus Nord 2 launched back in July 2021. OnePlus opted not to announce its successor last year, for whatever reason. Many people are expecting it to launch this year, however, and a mysterious sketch (provided below the article) could indicate its design. Is this the upcoming OnePlus Nord 3?
The upcoming OnePlus Nord 3 appears in a sketch, along with some spec info
This sketch comes from a Twitter user ‘Shishir’ (via GizmoChina), which is not exactly a regular source for leaks, so take this with a grain of salt. This sketch also looks quite familiar. In any case, just make sure to take this entire leak with a grain of salt. The source himself doesn’t seem to be sure of the legitimacy, so… we’ll see.
Now, you can see that the phone has a flat display, and a centered display camera hole. The bezels are quite thin, and its power/lock button is on the right side. The volume up and down buttons are placed on the left side.
The thing is, there is some sort of a secondary button on the right side too. It’s possible this is an alert slider, as we can’t really see it from the side. It does have a really odd positioning, if it’s an alert slider, as it sits right above the power/lock key. The source seems to suggest that is the alert slider, so… it remains to be seen.
There are three cameras on the back of the phone. The top camera is the main one, and it has the largest sensor. The second camera island hosts two camera sensors, it would seem.
A large 120Hz display is tipped, along with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC
Now, the source also shared some possible specs for the device. He claims the phone will have flat sides, and that we’re looking at a 6.74-inch 1.5K display here, with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC will allegedly fuel this smartphone. Android 13 will come pre-installed, along with OnePlus’ OxygenOS 13.1 skin.
The source also mentioned the phone’s battery. A 4,500mAh or 5,000mAh unit is expected, along with 100W wired charging. Wireless charging seemingly won’t be supported.
