Following a hands-on of the Pixel Watch Active Band, there’s now a pre-launch unboxing of the official Watch. It appears that someone was able to get their hands on a Pixel Watch pre-launch, and shared a bunch of the unboxing images on the official Pixel subreddit (via 9To5Google).
None of the images actually show the watch powered on. As the user who posted them says they didn’t want to get caught. Which suggests that they maybe weren’t supposed to post these images or share them with the public in any capacity. Either way, you do get a good look at the watch and its design in what might be the best look yet. At least when it comes to real life hands-on images.
This also appears to be the Charcoal band color. Though it also does look a little lighter in some of the images, probably due to lighting.
Pre-launch Pixel Watch unboxing gives a good look at the bezels
Probably one of the most anticipated design details of the watch are the bezels on the display. While the watch does have a completely round watch face, a lot of the images from previous leaks don’t really do a great job at showing the bezels.
A number of users in the comments of the Reddit post ask about this specifically. Which led the original poster to upload a few more pics that show off the bezel a little better. And quite honestly, it’s definitely a thick bezel. Though we can imagine Google has its reasons for designing it this way. The unboxing doesn’t really give any full shots of the outside of the packaging but those have popped up in previous leaks already.
In any case, if you’ve been curious what the bezels look like up close, these pics definitely show that off. You also get a decent look at the crown button on the right-hand side. Google is expected to launch the Pixel Watch in the near future after its upcoming Pixel event later this week.
