Reliable gadget tipster Majin Bu has shared the CAD render of the iPhone 17 on X. It is signaling a major design change for the iPhone 17 series. The CAD render seems to be of the base model of the iPhone 17 line up or it could be of the iPhone 17 Air variant. It appears that Apple could incorporate a new camera design into the iPhone 17, inspired by Google’s Pixel 9 series.
If the CAD render is true, the iPhone 17 could have a large horizontal pill-shaped cutout that’ll house the camera array and other components. The newly leaked CAD render shows a design that aligns with the information leaked so far. There seems to be a single circular cut-out on the left-hand side in the horizontal pill for the camera lens. There’s a tiny hole on the right side, possibly for the LED flash unit.
The rest of the design seems to remain unchanged
Furthermore, the CAD render shows that the rest of the design of the iPhone 17 would remain unchanged. It looks like Apple will place the base iPhone 17’s Camera Control and volume up/down buttons on the same side, keeping the configuration unchanged from the iPhone 16. You can spot a cutout at the bottom, where the charging port is located. The tipster has not shared any other details at the moment.
