Bruce Willis Continues to Be an Action Movie Legend
White Elephant follows the story of ex-marine turned mob enforcer Gabriel Tancredi (Rooker) who is battling with his conscience and code of honor after being ordered by his ruthless mob boss Arnold (Willis) to eliminate any and all threats, after two police officers witnessed a botched assassination attempt by his protégé Carlos. With his eager underling out to prove himself, rival gangs making moves, and a rising body count, every step he makes threatens lives, including his own. It’s live by a code, die by a bullet type of lifestyle.
The film is directed by Jesse V. Johnson whose other credits include films such as Triple Threat, along with Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais and Scott Adkins. Producers include Jordan Beckerman, Jeff Bowler, Jon Keeyes, Jordan Yale Levine and Mandi Murro.
The 67-year-old Die Hard star was recently spotted on a rare lunch outing since retiring. Willis was seen dining with a friend in Los Angeles at the Italian restaurant Divino on Sunday afternoon. The actor kept things casual, dressed in a gray polo shirt, jeans and a green baseball cap before the pair went on a walk around the area.
Some pop culture experts have pointed out that Willis’s decision to step away from his career was a stark reminder of how people never know what others are going through. This includes celebrities and all public figures. Robert Thompson, a professor of popular culture at Syracuse University noted that public perception of knowing celebrities intimately is just an illusion.
