Displace kicks cord clutter to the curb.

TVs always tend to make a big splash at CES, but for us, few (if any) have made a bigger splash than the new Displace Pro and Displace Basic. Cables are fine, cables are necessary. At least in many aspects of electronics. But wherever possible, it’s nice to see a good truly wireless option. And that’s what you have here with the Displace Pro and Displace Basic TVs. These are the “world’s first truly wireless 4K TVs,” Displace says. That is a notion that we can get behind real quick.

Sure, there are ways to hide your cables. You could route them through the wall so you don’t have any ugly cables hanging from behind your TV if you decide to wall-mount it. But that takes extra time and effort. And if live in an apartment, well.. chances are you aren’t going to be messing around with creating cord channels in the wall for your TV cables to run through. This is where Displace’s solution comes in handy. Since these TVs are wireless, you just mount them to the wall and forget cables for your TV ever existed.

Both TVs run on an internal, long-lasting battery. So cables aren’t needed to keep them powered on.

The Displace Pro can siphon power from its complimentary soundbar

While you will need to recharge the TV batteries at some point, you’ll have a longer time between charges if you get the Pro model. It comes with a complimentary soundbar that amplifies your audio experience with TV and movies. On top of that, it can also deliver up to 150 additional hours of battery life to the TV. So you don’t have to charge it as often.

That is in every sense of the word, amazing. What’s cool is that you can also use this soundbar with the Basic model, it just has to be purchased separately. But it still functions the same. While Displace doesn’t mention how long each battery lasts, it does say they’re long-lasting. And if you can extend that battery life through the soundbar, that makes recharging less of a worry. Not to mention a really cool feature to add to a product like this.

The truly wireless 4K TV experience and having a way to extend battery life are why the Displace Pro and Displace Basic have been awarded the Best of CES 2025 award from Android Headlines this year.
