Here are the best new movies and TV shows added to Netflix this week;

Maestro (2023) N

Directed By: Bradley Cooper
Genre: Biopic, Drama | Runtime: 131 Minutes
Cast: Bradley Cooper, Carey Mulligan, Matt Bomer, Maya Hawke, Sarah Silverman

If there is one Netflix film threatening to sweep the Oscars at the next Academy Awards, it’s Bradley Cooper’s Maestro. It is a moving tribute to the relationship between beloved composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife Felicia, aided by the music beautifully composed from Bernstein’s illustrious career as one of the greatest composers in American history.

Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire (2023) N

Directed By: Zack Snyder
Genre: Sci-Fi | Runtime: 135 Minutes
Cast: Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Charlie Hunnam, Anthony Hopkins

Zack Snyder’s last film on Netflix came over two years ago with Army of the Dead. Since then, he has worked extensively on a new sci-fi epic, Rebel Moon. Part 1 is now streamable, with Part 2 arriving in April 2024.

Reviews haven’t been particularly kind for the new movie that’s set to spawn a huge new fantasy universe, and most are already looking forward to the so-called extended cut as Netflix attempts to cash in on the “Snyder Cut” hype surrounding The Justice League a few years prior.

In our review yesterday, where we gave it a two-star rating, we concluded:

“Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire feels redundant & unnecessary for a sci-fi epic with a sequel coming mere months away. Aping Star Wars but lacking in the charm, fun, & memorable world-building of that universe, Snyder seems to have missed what made his influences so indelible. Largely quality casting can’t overcome the sheer lack of time or depth for its characters. Hard to see a real enthusiasm to see how this story ends this Spring.”

Gyeongseong Creature (Part 1) N

New Episodes: 7
Genre: Action, Historical, Horror, | Runtime: 60 Minutes
Cast: Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, Kim Su Hyun, Kim Hae Sook, Jo Han Chul

Part 1 is now streamable, with two more episodes arriving on January 4th, 2024. We expect the series will mark an extremely strong end to another excellent year for K-dramas on Netflix.

Taking place during the Japanese occupation of Korea in the 1940s. The series is centered around Jang Tae Sang (Park Seo Joon) and Yun Chae Ok (Han So Hee) as they seek to solve a series of mysterious cases of missing persons, only to uncover a terrible and horrifying secret.

Bank of Dave (2023)

Fans of The Diplomat will recognize Rory Kinnear as Prime Minister Trowbridge, while Bridgerton fans will instantly recognize Pheobe Dynevor, who previously played Daphne Bridgerton.

Neighbors (2014)

Rating: R
Language: English
Genre: Comedy

The only other main notable licensed movie to land on Netflix this week is the Zac Efron led (who is currently appearing in theaters with his new wrestling movie Iron Claw) comedy that also featured Rose Byrne and Seth Rogan.

For those that haven’t seen the movie before, you’ll see a new parents going up against a sorority house.
