The shiny (literally) new Google Pixel 8 is finally official, and pre-orders are now available. The device is up for pre-order now and will start shipping on October 12.
The new Google Pixel 8 is actually a pretty big upgrade over the Pixel 7. It received a pretty big display upgrade here, giving it a 60-120Hz display here, and it’s super bright now. With up to 1400 nits of typical brightness and up to 2000 nits of peak brightness. Which looks incredible from our hands on time with the Pixel 8 at the Made by Google event.
Google has also upgraded the Pixel 8 with the new Tensor G3 processor. Which should be faster, be less prone to overheating and offers more AI smarts too. Which is definitely something Google wants.
