Nobody knows action like Arnold Schwarzenegger. And nobody hits like Netflix. “That’s why we’ve appointed Arnold as our new Chief Action Officer,” boasts the latest trailer for the streaming platform, with the “The Austrian Oak” revealing new looks at the likes of Extraction 2, Heart of Stone, The Witcher season three, and the rest of Netflix’s upcoming action slate. Check out the trailer and assortment of new footage courtesy of Netflix below.

As well as reminding audiences of recent action hits The Night Agent, which has now been renewed for a second season, and The Mother, which stars Jennifer Lopez as an assassin forced out of hiding to save her daughter, the trailer also reveals new footage from Extraction 2, which is due to land on the platform next month. Reuniting star Chris Hemsworth with director Sam Hargrave, Extraction 2 picks up with the action hero after being presumed dead 9 months ago, with Tyler Rake charging into the fray once again to rescue a ruthless Georgian gangster’s family from the prison where they are being held. Also starring Golshifteh Farahani, Adam Bessa, Olga Kurylenko, Tinatin Dalakishvili, and Daniel Bernhardt, Extraction 2 is all set to land on Netflix on June 16, 2023.

The Trailer Reveals New Looks at Heart of Stone, the Brothers Sun & Lift

The trailer goes on to reveal a new look at Heart of Stone, the first movie in a planned action franchise led by Wonder Woman and Fast and Furious star Gal Gadot. The story finds Gadot starring as elite agent, Rachel Stone, who harbors a secret even bigger than her career with the CIA. She’s the only woman who stands between an mysterious, powerful, peace-keeping organization the Charter, and the loss of its most valuable — and dangerous — asset, the Heart. Heart of Stone is scheduled to be released on August 11, 2023.

The generous Schwarzenegger then reveals our first look at both the upcoming action series, The Brothers Sun and the movie Lift, starring Kevin Hart. Led by Justin Chien and Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, The Brothers Sun follows Chien as Charles Sun, a Taipei gangster who’s settled into his life as a ruthless killer, but must go to L.A. to protect his mother and younger brother after his father was shot by a mysterious assassin. Lift meanwhile finds Hart as a master thief who is wooed by his ex-girlfriend and the FBI into pulling off an impossible heist and is set to be released on January 12, 2024.

Finally, Schwarzenegger hypes up his own Netflix action project, FUBAR. Starring Schwarzenegger alongside Top Gun: Maverick star Monica Barbaro, FUBAR sees the action in his first leading role on the small screen, and follows father and daughter Luke and Emma Brunner, who have lied to each other for years, neither of them knowing that the other is a CIA operative.

FUBAR is set to premiere on May 25, 2023, and is clearly just one of the exciting projects that Netflix has in store for action fans.
