Last year, Aqara took IFA 2024 by storm as it showcased some cool smart home products. Now that CES 2025 has kicked off, top tech companies are showing off their best products to the masses. Aqara is one of the smart home brands that just showcased some neat products, including in-wall control panels and a few new sensors.
Aqara unveils the in-wall touchscreen control panels, new sensors, and more at CES 2025
The Panel Hub S1 Plus is one of the best products that Aqara unveiled at this year’s CES. The flagship in-wall panel acts as a central unit to control the entire smart home with a single interface. The Panel Hub S1 Plus features a 6.9-inch touchscreen and dual-band Wi-Fi. It can also manage multiple devices like cameras, thermostats, etc. The device also doubles up as a Zigbee Hub and Matter bridge for Aqara’s Zigbee devices.
Next, you have the Aqara Touchscreen Dial V1, featuring a 1.32-inch round touchscreen that enables you to manage up to two wired lights while controlling several smart devices wirelessly. This rotary dial offers haptic feedback, which allows for granular control of Aqara devices. It’s worth noting that this product is compatible with Apple HomeKit and Thread.
The Light Switch H2 and the Dimmer Switch H2 made a comeback at this year’s CES. To catch you up, Aqara showcased these devices at IFA 2024 as well. Both the products come with Thread and Zigbee support and are designed to accommodate all households without a neutral wire. These switches are versatile too, thanks to wireless buttons that allow for controlling a wide range of devices and scenes.
Aqara has also announced two different sensors this time around. They are namely the Presence Multisensor FP300 and the Climate Sensor W100. The first sensor uses PIR and mmWave technology to detect human presence with full accuracy. The Climate Sensor, on the other hand, provides accurate temperature and humidity data. Not to forget, both sensors are compatible with Thread and Matter protocols.
There’s a new doorbell camera hub featuring on-device facial recognition
Next up, you have the Doorbell Camera Hub G410, which, according to the company, brings notable upgrades over its predecessor. It offers 2K video quality with a wider 176° field of view. The camera hub comes with mmWave tech to reduce false alerts and supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Thread, and HomeKit Secure Video.
One of the standout features of this camera hub is that it includes on-device facial recognition. Aqara says that the live and recorded videos are end-to-end encrypted. Moreover, the recorded video footage can be stored in the cloud or local storage.
Last but not least, you have Hub M100, Aqara’s entry-level Matter controller. It features a compact design and is highly portable. It comes with support for Wi-Fi, Thread, and Zigbee. You’ll also find a USB-A port on this device and can easily manage the entire Aqara lineup and hundreds of third-party Matter devices.
Aqara mentions that the EU version of the Panel Hub S1 Plus and Touchscreen Dial V1 will be released later this month. On the other hand, the US versions and additional models will roll out throughout the year.
