Amazon is dropping the price on both M3 MacBook Air models (13- and 15-inch sizes) right now, bringing their first price drops since being announced earlier this year. The 13-inch starts at $899 right now ($200 off), while the 15-inch starts at $1,129 ($170 off). Both are pretty great discounts, and even their upgraded models are discounted.
The MacBook Air is one of the best-selling laptops on the planet, and now that Apple has debuted a 15-inch model, it is only going to grow. Why is it so popular? Obviously, the name on it is a big deal, but it is also incredibly thin and lightweight while offering a ton of power. The MacBook Air sports the M3 chipset, which is an incredibly powerful chipset that needs no fan. That’s great news since the MacBook Air doesn’t have one. Even in my MacBook Pro with the M3 Pro, I’ve never heard the fan kick up, so it’s just not needed with Apple Silicon.
Apple did include a notch on the MacBook Air when it redesigned it a few years ago. It’s rather disappointing since there’s no Face ID included on any Mac right now. With that notch, you’d think Apple could put in the right sensors to allow for Face ID, but apparently, it could not.
Of course, we cannot forget about battery life. Apple is quoting up to 18 hours of battery life in its testing. You could end up getting more or less, depending on how you use your MacBook Air. But that is still an incredible number for battery life.
