Apple has finally announced the iPhone 16 lineup alongside other products at the “Its Glowtime” event held on September 9. The Cupertino giant unveiled almost everything that was rumored, except for the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and the new Apple Watch SE. However, a popular analyst has now hinted that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and the new Apple Watch SE could launch in 2025.
There have been multiple rumors this year that hinted Apple would refresh its entire smartwatch series at the big iPhone 16 event. Talking specifically about Apple Watch models, mixed rumors kept the Apple Watch Ultra 3 in the news. Several reports from early this year suggested that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 might not launch in 2024. As months passed by, some analysts started claiming that the Watch Ultra 3 could launch alongside the iPhone 16 series.
Renowned analyst claims Apple Watch Ultra 3 and new Watch SE could launch in 2025
To our surprise, neither the company launched the Apple Watch Ultra 3 nor the new Watch SE. Rather, it only announced the Apple Watch Series 10 and a new color for Apple Watch Ultra 2. Notably, both Apple Watches will soon get the sleep apnea detection feature.
However, if you have been waiting for the new Apple Watch models, there are some updates. Yesterday, a renowned analyst MIng-Chi Kuo hinted at the launch timeline for these long-rumored Apple Watch models. Previously, he had suggested that Apple wouldn’t release a new Apple Watch Ultra in September this year. Kuo, in his recent post on X, added that his prediction from last year stands true.
Besides, he also adds that the chances of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 coming out this year are very bleak. The analyst further hints that the company could launch it in 2025 instead, alongside a new Apple Watch SE. All that said, there’s no official word about the existence or the launch of both Apple Watches.
