Apart from the iPhone 16 series, Apple is also expected to introduce its new wearables at the upcoming event on September 9. The company could unveil the Apple Watch Series 10 smartwatches. They will mark the 10th anniversary of the first Apple Watch. Ahead of the launch, we’ve already seen many reports regarding the upcoming Apple Watches.
Some reports suggested that the Apple Watch Series 10, will feature a flat-screen like the Watch Ultra models. The wearable was also tipped to be significantly bigger than the predecessor.
However, Majin Bu, a gadget tipster on X, claims otherwise. The leakster’s latest post suggests that the Apple Watch Series 10 will offer only a 1mm display size upgrade. In addition, Bu has also shared some more details about the upcoming Apple Watch models.
Apple Watch Series 10 is now tipped to come in 42mm and 46mm display sizes
Previous reports suggested that the Apple Watch Series 10 would come in two sizes. The largest model was said to feature a 49mm display, up from 45mm of the predecessor. However, Majin Bu is the bearer of sad news for those expecting bigger screen sizes. In the latest post, he claims that the smallest Apple Watch Series 10 model will have a 42mm screen, only 1mm bigger than the predecessor. The largest model’s screen size will be bumped to 46mm, up from 45mm, adds the source.
The tipster also suggests that the Apple Watch Series 10 will have the same curved displays as the Series 9 models. Notably, the leakster earlier had suggested a flat-screen like the Watch Ultra series for the Series X. However, he has changed his prediction for a curved display instead, based on the latest information from an unnamed source.
The new Apple Watches are said to offer a slightly slimmer titanium body
Furthermore, the source added that the Apple Watch Series 10 devices will have a slightly slimmer body. Similar to the Apple Watch Ultra 2, the 10th-gen vanilla Apple wearables could also have a titanium body, instead of stainless steel. Also, the Gold color variant of the new smartwatches will be very light this year. Apart from the titanium models, Apple could also offer a ceramic version of the new wearables, claims the source.
Apple is also expected to introduce the Apple Watch Ultra 3 flagship smartwatch alongside the Series 10 at its fall event. The official launch is just around the corner, so watch this space for regular updates regarding new Apple announcements.
