We’ve seen the iPhone 16 design tipped several times thus far. Majin Bu was the one who shared the design before, and he’s now back with a CAD render of the Apple iPhone 16.

The iPhone 16 design shared via a CAD render; vertical camera orientation confirmed

You can check out that render above, and there are several takeaways here. First and foremost, a different camera module. As reported earlier, the iPhone 16 is going back to a vertical camera orientation.

Instead of being set up in a diagonal format, the two cameras will sit in a straight vertical line. The camera module will still sit in the top-left corner, though, and an LED flash will be placed outside of it, on the right.

What else? Well, on the left side, you’ll notice two separate volume buttons. Above them sits an Action Button that we’ve seen debut on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. It’s making a move to the vanilla series with the iPhone 16. The alert slider is becoming a thing of the past.

The phone will include an all-new Capture Button

On the right side, you’ll spot a power/lock key, and something else. We immediately assumed that it’s the rumored Capture Button, and Majin Bu basically confirmed it. It seems like that button won’t be exclusive to the ‘Pro’ models.

The iPhone 16 will have rounded corners, and its backplate will be mostly flat, but it will curved towards the edges, all of them. Our guess is that the curve from the glass backplate to the metal frame will be seamless, as is on the iPhone 15 series.

The entire iPhone 16 series of devices is expected to launch in September this year. That’s when Apple usually launches its iPhones, so there’s no doubt the same will happen this time around.

Four devices are coming, as expected, the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. All four could utilize the same processor this time around, by the way.
