Now, a reliable tipster claims that the enhanced Siri with Apple Intelligence features will likely be delayed a bit and will actually arrive with iOS 18.5.
The iOS 18.4 update was expected to finally bring most of the AI-powered features Apple introduced long ago. iOS 18 already integrates some AI features, but their capabilities are still far behind those of its direct rivals. That said, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, there will be a few extra weeks of waiting for the best ones.

As usual, big companies test new features in development internally before rolling them out. This includes not only lab testing but also real-world scenarios by taking feedback from their own employees. Well, Gurman’s report claims that Siri’s AI-powered advanced features are still not working “consistently” during these tests. It seems that the company still has a lot of work to do on polishing the improved version of its assistant.
As a result, Gurman says that Siri with the announced Apple Intelligence features could actually arrive in May with the iOS 18.5 update. On the other hand, iOS 18.4 is expected to reach eligible iPhones in April. However, the developer beta could be available as early as next week.
It’s noteworthy that Apple never officially confirmed the arrival of AI-powered Siri with iOS 18.4. However, reliable sources close to the matter had leaked the information. Technically, Apple promised that the improved assistant would arrive to iOS 18 sometime in 2025. For reference, the firm is expected to roll out iOS 19 stable in August. Still, the iOS 19 beta program will probably start in June.
