AOC has announced a brand-new monitor during CES 2022 this week called the Agon Pro AG274QGM, geared towards Esports thanks to its fast refresh rate. It also features support for NVIDIA G-Sync Ultimate (also found on Alienware’s new QD-OLED monitor) and a slew of other features.

It carries a 1440p resolution and uses an IPS panel, so it should be excellent for providing anti-glare. Something which could be especially important during heated and competitive gaming moments.

One of the key aesthetic features appears to be the addition of a lighting system that can project the Agon logo onto the desk surface. If this sounds familiar, it’s because you’ll see similar effects on some of ASUS’s ROG monitors.

The AOC Agon Pro Ag274QGM is one of NVIDIA’s new Esports displays

During CES, NVIDIA announced that it was putting forth a handful of new Esports displays this year. Having worked with partners like ASUS, Viewsonic, and AOC. This model of the Agon is in fact one of those new Esports displays.

That means this is one of the monitors that carries the dual format mode. Which helps to shrink the monitor’s resolution down from 1440p to 1080p for games that have trouble keeping with faster frame rates at the higher resolution.

The monitor also sports mini-LED backlighting, it has a VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, and a super low input latency with a 1ms response time. As for the refresh rate, it can go up to 300Hz. Though you won’t necessarily get that in every single game as not all games will support a refresh rate that fast.

Still, it should make a world of difference for competitive games do. Additionally, the monitor has support for NVIDIA’s Reflex Analyzer.

While AOC has shared a lot about this new monitor, there’s currently no information about pricing or availability. You can probably expect this to cost under $500 though. Considering the size and that other AOC monitors with the same size display only cost a few hundred.

That being said, the cost of this particular monitor could still be higher than you might expect. But it wouldn’t be surprising if it was less than the competition.
