Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star Katy O’Brian is unflinchingly upbeat about returning to the franchise despite the tepid reviews from film critics, a mediocre box office performance, and the scandal currently undermining Phase Five of the MCU.

Per Movieweb, she opened up about what it was like to play Jentorra, the leader of the Freedom Fighters, and an opponent of the odious inter-dimensional overlord Kang the Conqueror.

“I would love to come back. Spoiler alert, I’m alive. So, unless the ants eat me, or whatever, afterward, but yes, it would be wonderful.”

Her optimism makes sense considering the intriguing backstory of her character in the comics. Not only is Jentorra the leader of the Freedom Fighters, but she is also a member of the royal family, so her return is entirely plausible. There is just one problem: the public backlash against Kang the Conqueror star Jonathan Majors ever since domestic violence charges filed against him came to light.

Either way, the future looks bright for O’Brian. She already has the distinction of appearing in the Star Wars and Marvel Cinematic Universe, after recurring as Imperial Officer Elia Kane in The Mandalorian. Before her appearance as Jentorra in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, she appeared as a character called Kimball in several episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Next, O’Brian will star opposite Academy Award nominee Kristen Stewart in Love Lies Bleeding. The upcoming film is described as a romantic thriller and will also star Ed Harris, Dave Franco, and Jena Malone.
