Amazfit is a company that most people know because of its smartwatches. Well, the company decided to try making something different, a smart ring. The end product is called the Amazfit Helio Ring, and it was announced at CES 2024.
The Amazfit Helio Ring focuses more on the fitness side of things
Amazfit says that most rings are primarily sleep-tracking devices. The company aimed to focus more on the fitness side of things. With the Helio Ring, Amazfit wants to cater to athletes who “seek the ultimate in recovery monitoring, analysis and guidance”.
The company says that the Helio Ring is “able to monitor comprehensive data related to the user’s mental and physical condition with accuracy only possible from a wearable worn on the finger”.
All that info is stored in the Zepp app, and converted into a daily Readiness score that is supposed to help athletes understand what they should be focusing on.
Amazfit did note that the Helio Ring works on its own, but if you use it in addition to the Amazfit smartwatch, the data from the two devices will be fused together for an even deeper analysis within the Zepp app.
It is made from “skin-friendly” lightweight titanium
This smartwatch is made using “skin-friendly” lightweight titanium. Its chassis is 2.6mm thick, and there are a ton of built-in sensors here. The Amazfit Helio Ring can monitor your heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, and sleep.
This smart ring is rated for 10ATM water resistance, which will be more than enough for everyone except serious divers. This ring also can track running, walking, cycling, and the treadmill.
The Amazfit Helio Ring comes in 10 and 12 sizes, which doesn’t exactly fit everyone. We’re a bit surprised that Amazfit didn’t offer more size options, but there you have it.
The Helio Ring is coming in the Spring of 2024, that’s when it will become available. We’re still missing a lot of details, including its price tag. So stay tuned for that.
