At IFA 2024, Anker launched new projectors under Nebula, its multimedia products brand. The company unveiled the Nebula Cosmos 4K SE, a projector that promises a cinema-like experience at home. On the other hand, the Nebula Capsule Air can offer high-quality projections wherever you go.
Nebula Cosmos 4K SE, a projector that promises cinema-like experience
The duo’s highest-end model can project images up to 200 inches in dark rooms. With regular lighting, it is still capable of projecting 120 inches. To enhance image quality, the company integrated Dolby Vision along with the NebulaMaster image processing engine that boosts contrast and color accuracy. Anker also uses HybridBeam technology that combines LED and laser light in the projection source to ensure high brightness. The light source supports 1800 ANSI lumens and 4K resolution.
Anker put a lot of effort into image quality, so there are several technologies designed to offer the best possible experience. There is a de-contour reduction algorithm that enhances fluidity in transitions while preserving the image’s edge details. There is also the IEA 4.0 system that automatically manages a series of parameters that guarantee the stability and consistency of the image. These parameters include Real-time Autofocus, Keystone Correction, Auto Obstacle Avoidance, Auto Screen Fit, Ambient Light Adaptation and Wall Color Adaptation.
There is even eye protection technology to prevent visual damage to people who pass in front of the projection. The projector incorporates a stereo sound system consisting of two 15W speakers that support Dolby Atmos. The device runs Google TV and includes 2 GB of RAM + 16 GB of storage to download apps.
Nebula Capsule Air, the most versatile portable projector
The Nebula Capsule Air was designed with portability in mind. However, that does not prevent it from offering decent image quality. The projector is compact, measuring 5.51″ and weighing 22.93 oz. Its 34 Wh battery can provide up to 2 hours of playtime, although its USB-C port allows you to charge or keep it powered using a USB power adapter or a power bank.
With its 150 ANSI lumens, the Capsule Air can project images in 720p. The ideal projection size is 60 inches, but it can reach 100 inches if you require it. Anker also worked on accessories that make the projector even more flexible, opening up new possibilities of use. Starting with the Snap-On Base, it allows you to mount the projector virtually anywhere in a room, including the wall. Then there’s the Gimbal Stand, which adds 360° angle adjustment possibilities to the Capsule Air.
There’s also the Power Bank Tripod, which basically offers two additional hours of playback thanks to its 9600mAh battery. This one is also able to tilt 0-90° for more angle adjustment possibilities. Other features include a 5W speaker, Google TV, and 2 GB RAM + 256 GB onboard storage.
Both the Nebula Cosmos 4K SE and Nebula Capsule Air will be available starting August 29 in the US. The premium projector will cost $1,299.99, while the portable model will cost $349.99.
