The OPPO Find N launched quite recently, and managed to attract attention to itself. That is OPPO’s first foldable smartphone, and despite that, it’s quite compelling, to say the least. Well, two additional companies from China are planning to launch their foldable offerings in the future. Those two companies are Xiaomi and Vivo, and a display analyst just revealed their display sizes.
This information comes from Ross Young, a well-known display analyst, who is usually spot on with his info. He shared correct information on the OPPO Find N display back in July, and now he’s back with more info.
Analyst has revealed display sizes of Xiaomi & Vivo foldables
According to him, Xiaomi’s upcoming foldable smartphone will feature an 8.1-inch display. Vivo’s upcoming foldable handset will include an 8.03-inch panel. We’re talking about their foldable displays, of course.
Xiaomi already announced its first foldable handset back in March, the Mi MIX Fold. So, the upcoming device will be its second offering. Vivo, on the other hand, has yet to announce its first such device.
Vivo is OPPO’s sister company, so we have no doubt that the company is preparing something compelling. OPPO really did its homework when it comes to foldables, so the expectations are high from Vivo.
Both of these foldable phones are expected to arrive in Q1 2022
Vivo’s upcoming foldable smartphone will likely be more similar in size to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It will be larger than the OPPO Find N, no doubt about that. That device is rumored to arrive in Q1 next year, as is Xiaomi’s.
It seems like we’ll see quite a few new foldable smartphones next year. One more is expected this year as well, the Huawei P50 Pocket. That handset will launch on December 23, and it will be a direct competitor to the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Samsung is currently the supreme ruler of the foldable smartphone market, but other companies are looking to provide some competition. That is always a good thing for consumers, of course.
