Amazon, very recently announced its own TVs that run on Fire TV. There is the 4-series which went on sale in November, then there’s the slightly higher-end Omni series. Which is back on sale today. The 50-inch Amazon Fire TV Omni Series is on sale for $365 right now, which is down from $509. Making it a great TV to pick up and watch Super Bowl 56 on next month.
So what’s the difference between the 4-series and the Omni series? Well, the biggest difference is Dolby Vision and of course larger screen sizes. There’s also hands-free Alexa available here, with built-in microphones.
As mentioned, with the Omni, Amazon is bringing hands-free Alexa here. So you can talk to Alexa, have her open different apps, control your smart home products and so much more.
When it comes to the picture quality, this is a 4K HDR TV. It does support HDR10, HLG and of course Dolby Vision. Which is going to provide for a really great looking picture here.
With Fire TV built-in here, you get access to all of your favorite apps and games too. That includes Disney+, Hulu, Netflix, YouTube and much more. There is also support for Luna – Amazon’s game streaming service. So you can play many games right there on your TV. Amazon likes to tout that there are over 1 million movies and TV shows available on Fire TV.
Amazon includes a HDMI eARC port on the back of this TV, allowing you to plug in a soundbar like the Sonos Arc or Beam, and allow your TV controller to control it too. Which is very useful, to be quite honest.
It’s quite the package for under $400, and now is a great time to buy the Amazon Omni Series Fire TV.
You can pick up the Amazon 50-inch Omni Series 4K Fire TV from Amazon by clicking here. It’s unclear how long this price will last, so you’d better grab yours before it is gone.
