Alleged Moto G Power 5G 2025 to offer refreshed back design

Motorola first launched the Moto G Power in 2020, which wasn’t a 5G device. The company refreshed the lineup earlier this year with the Moto G Power 5G (2024), which is powered by the 6nm Dimensity 7020 chipset. The latest leak suggests that the company is working on another refresh, which it will release next year. This Moto G Power 5G 2025 will likely come with a refreshed design as compared to the Moto G Power 5G 2024.

91mobiles has shared a concept render of an upcoming Motorola device which has the model number Vegas XT2515-1. This model number closely resembles the model number (XT2415-1) of this year’s Moto G Power 5G. It seems that the 24 and 25 on the model numbers represent the devices’ release years. This is why the Vegas XT2515-1 is expected to be the Moto G Power 5G 2025.

The Moto G Power 5G 2025 could offer a refreshed design

As you can see from the image, the phone packs three cameras on the back. This is a shift in both design and specifications as this year’s model offers a dual-camera (50MP + 8MP UW) setup on the back. In addition to that, the camera island also looks much better with a refreshed design similar to the company’s recent Edge series devices like the Moto Edge 50 Pro.

The source speculates that the back panel could be made of vegan leather. Although the image is low-resolution and we cannot confirm the material, the fact that the affordably priced Moto G45 5G also adopts this material for its back panel makes it seem possible.

Nonetheless, the phone still houses a flat display with a noticeably thicker chin. The middle frame also retains the flat design from its predecessor. Overall, the phone looks very similar on the front and sides.

This year’s model is only available in the US

The Moto G Power 5G 2024 is currently only available in North America. There is no confirmation on whether it will be released in other markets. As a result, it’s uncertain if the Moto G Power 5G 2025 will be available globally. Additionally, no specifications for the upcoming Moto G Power have been disclosed yet.
