Earlier this year, Apple announced the new iPad Air with the M2 chip inside. At the same time, it also announced the first-ever 13-inch iPad Air for $799. Today, Amazon is shaving $100 off of that price, making it just $699. That’s not a bad price for a 13-inch tablet with 128GB of storage—that’s another thing Apple changed, upping the starting storage from 64GB to 128GB.
The iPad Air comes in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB options, and it also comes in four colors. Those are purple, blue, space gray and starlight.
With this new iPad Air, you’re getting some really incredible performance, thanks to the M2 chipset. That’s the same chipset that powered the MacBook. The iPad was already the best tablet on the market, and now it’s even better thanks to this chipset and now a larger sized iPad Air.
Apple Intelligence is coming to the iPad Air as well, since it does have the M2 chipset. Basically, anything with the M1 or newer gets the new AI features when they start rolling out. iOS 18.1, with the first set of Apple Intelligence features, should start rolling out today.
It’s a great iPad to pick up and does work with the new Apple Magic Keyboard and Pencil Pro.
