Acer today has announced a bunch of new gear at Computex, including three new Predator gaming monitors, a new gaming router, and a compact 3D camera. There’s some new non-gaming stuff too, like new smart monitors and a regular wireless router that’s geared toward general use.

All of these new products will be available this year, Acer says, although the timing will depend on the product, and not everything will be available in all markets. One of the more interesting new products is the SpatialLabs Eye Stereo Camera. This is a compact 3D camera that is fully integrated with Acer’s lineup of SpatialLabs devices, such as monitors and laptops. What makes it interesting is its size and surprisingly simplistic usability.

It’s designed as a point-and-shoot solution for photographers who want to create content that Acer says allows for “effortless image taking.” It has 8MP per eye resolution, with the “eye” referring to each of the two lenses on the front. On the back, there’s a big display for viewing your shots. It also has a built-in “selfie mirror” for when you’re both taking the photo and planning to be in it. Plus, it’s weatherproof so it should be fine to use even if it’s raining a bit. The company plans to launch this camera in the US starting in Q3 for $549.

Acer brings new Predator gaming gear to Computex

Acer is well-known in the gaming space for its wide range of gaming products. Including those in the Predator line. Today, it has announced three new Predator monitors to suit just about every taste. If you’re looking for something small, there’s Acer’s new Predator X27U F3. This comes with a 26.5-inch OLED display with a WQHD resolution. The real standout trait though is the monitor’s neck-breaking refresh rate of 480Hz. This is a monitor that is definitely designed for competitive players, professional or not.

It also has a USB-C port alongside two HDMI 2.1 ports for plugging in both a PC and a console. Another neat feature caters to streamers. The tripod mount socket lets you hook up a webcam or screen light for your streams. Naturally, with a refresh rate this high, it won’t be cheap. Acer plans to launch it in the US in Q3 starting at $1,200. For those wanting something a little bit bigger, there are two options over 30 inches. The 31.5-inch Predator X32 X3, and the 34-inch Predator X34 X5.

Both of these monitors use OLED panels as well but differ in a few areas. The X32 X3 has 4K resolution natively with a refresh rate of 240Hz. But it can also be used in a Full HD mode with a faster 480Hz refresh rate if players desire. The X34 X5 meanwhile, is an ultrawide monitor with a UWQHD resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. It also has an 1800R curve. Both of these monitors feature the same USB-C port and two HDMI 2.1 ports, too. If you prefer using DisplayPort, the X34 X5 will offer this.

Both of these should launch in the US in Q4, with the X32 X3 starting at $1,200, and the X34 X5 starting at $1,100.

Ensure your network is set up for gaming with the Predator Connect W6x

If you’re big into gaming and want a router that can handle the traffic, Acer has your number. The Predator Connect W6x is designed to cater to gamers. With features like Wi-Fi 6 support, it can deliver speeds up to 6,000Mbps. Acer says it’s also capable of near-zero packet loss so your gaming sessions aren’t interrupted. There’s no pricing on the router yet, but it should be launching in the US in Q2. Additionally, there’s the Acer Wave 7 monitor that’s not meant for gaming but it should do the trick if you really want it to.

This router uses Wi-Fi 7 with up to 6,400Mbps delivery, and it even comes in two different variants. One lets you flip between 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, which is pretty standard. There’s also a variant that lets you flip between 2.4GHz and 6GHz networks. The Wave 7 is supposed to launch in Q2 as well, however, the price is TBD on this as well.

A range of new smart monitors for gamers and non-gamers alike

Acer’s Predator monitors are generally its flagship gaming options, but it has more to offer if you aren’t looking to spend as much. Today it announced two new Nitro monitors for gamers, both of which be available in Q4 in the US. The Nitro GA271U P with a 27-inch display for $330, and the Nitro GA321QU P for $380. These both offer a 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate with HDMI 2.0, or 180Hz with DisplayPort.

For the non-gamers, there are the DA271K and DA321QK. As you might have guessed, these have 27-inch and 31.5-inch displays respectively. They’re both 4K, and have a refresh rate of 60Hz. And seeing as these aren’t meant for gaming, 60Hz is completely fine. These launch in Q4 as well with pricing starting at $350 for the DA271K and $400 for the DA321K.
