A24 has dropped an exhilarating trailer for its upcoming action thriller, Everything Everywhere All At Once. Veteran actors Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis star in the film. Everything Everywhere All At Once is written and directed by Daniels, aka Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. The film-making duo is best known for their debut film, Swiss Army Man, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano. Everything Everywhere All At Once is described as an “interdimensional action film” and is set to be A24’s first proper action movie. Check out the amazing trailer for Everything Everywhere All At Once below.
Well, that is certainly one of the most unique and puzzling film trailers ever. But Michelle Yeoh vs Jamie Lee Curtis: who wouldn’t want to see that? Ke Huy Quan, who played Data in The Goonies, is also playing a prominent role in the film. The trailer promises plenty of action, heart, and humor to look forward to as well. As per the official logline, Everything Everywhere All At Once is a “hilarious and big-hearted sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese-American woman who just can’t seem to finish her taxes”.
Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon) plays Evelyn Wang, an everyday woman who is dragged into an adventure through the multiverse to save the world and her family. Everything Everywhere All At Once also stars Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween), Stephanie Hsu (Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Ke Huy Quan (The Goonies), James Hong (Blade Runner), Harry Shum Jr. (Crazy Rich Asians), and Jenny Slate (Parks and Recreation).
Anthony and Joe Russo are producing Everything Everywhere All At Once through their production company, AGBO. As evident from the trailer, the film promises to be baffling and thrilling at the same time. We’re also getting a villainous turn from horror icon Jamie Lee Curtis. And it’s always a delight to watch the very talented Michelle Yeoh.
The multiverse has become all the rage these days but is mostly being witnessed in superhero movies. However, the idea of different versions of the same characters existing simultaneously isn’t anything new. Remember Jet Li and Jason Statham starring The One? But an A24 produced movie that promises to be a crowd-pleasing sci-fi joyride is definitely unheard of. The studio is synonymous with hard-hitting yet polarizing indie films like Hereditary and The Green Knight. But Everything Everywhere All At Once is here to change that perception.
The film will open the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival on March 11, 2022. The Daniels previously won the top directing honor at the festival for Swiss Army Man. The organizers have nothing but great things to say about Everything Everywhere All At Once. SXSW Director of Film Janet Pierson recently said: “We are thrilled to premiere Daniels’ latest work, which is fantastically inventive, entertaining, emotionally grounded, and crammed with the exceptional creativity that makes their projects so satisfying. Audiences are going to have their minds blown by this extraordinary feat of filmmaking.”
Everything Everywhere All At Once will be released in theaters next spring on March 25, 2022.
