On August 8 The Pokémon Company revealed a lot of new stuff happening in the world of Pokémon, which includes a release date for the upcoming DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games. The DLC, called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, is a two-part DLC that will release across multiple dates. The first part is called The Teal Mask, and it’ll take place in a new regional location of Kitakami.
This is the first initial announcement for an actual release date for the DLC. So players now have a specific time to look forward to. The Teal Mask will introduce players to more than just a new regional location. With new monsters to catch and new opponents to face. One of those new monsters is Dipplin, a new evolution Applin with a very candy apple-like appearance. You’ll also encounter new trainers Carmine and Kieran. Two siblings who go to Blueberry academy, which is one of the new stops you’ll make on your journey in the two-part DLC.
Additionally, players can encounter a new heroic Pokémon too. This new heroic Pokémon is called The Loyal Three: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC, The Teal Mask, will release in September
You don’t get to be the very best without training, and you can resume your training in the new DLC when it launches on September 13. The Teal Mask will be available for Nintendo Switch in the middle of next month and be downloaded straight from the Nintendo eShop. Though keep in mind like all DLC it’ll require the base game to play.
There’s no release date yet for the second part of the DLC, called The Indigo Disk. But there is a little information about its content. You’ll become an exchange student at Blueberry Academy and meet new students, while getting to experience what life is like at this new school. You can also catch all kinds of new Pokémon in the school’s four different biomes located within the central part of the academy.
