Google has recently released a series of #BestPhonesForever ads featuring an iPhone and its Pixel phones. A total of 5 ads were released, and they were quite entertaining. Well, Google has just added another addition to that list, called ‘Friends Reach’, and it seemingly includes the iPhone 14 Pro and Pixel 7 Pro.
iPhone & Pixel star in another one of Google’s ads, this one is called ‘Friends React’
Considering that the past 5 ads were used to promote Pixel features, basically, in an entertaining way, this one is not much different. In this one, iPhone and Pixel phones are presented as being best friends yet again. And as such, they decided to read the comments you left on the first five videos.
During this fun, but rather short interaction, Google once again managed to promote one of Pixel’s features, its translation prowess. Google’s phone was able to quickly translate a comment made in Japanese, while an iPhone wanted to skip it.
Just to be clear, the iPhone 14 Pro is not specifically mentioned here, not once. The same was the case in previous ads. The same goes for the Pixel 7 Pro. Those two phones are obviously the devices in question here, though.
This ad is just as entertaining as the other ones
This particular ad has a duration of a minute and a half, approximately, and it’s just as entertaining as the other ones. It’s also less cringey than some other ones.
Google has a rather entertaining ad series on its hands here, and it would be nice to see more of these clips. Most of the commenters seem to be quite amused by these videos, which is not surprising.
Next-gen iPhones are likely coming in September, while new Pixels will drop in October. That will be a perfect chance for Google to continue doing these, though we could see more of them before that point, of course.
